After leaving Canon City we arrived in Pueblo, CO and took a rest day. We are less than 2,000 miles from Yorktown, Virginia. Hard to believe this part of the trip has gone by so fast. Our friend Sam kept riding in order to meet with his family on schedule. On our day off we walked 8 miles to the Pueblo County Fair, museum and other local attractions. A fun day! Now that we have entered eastern Colorado and Kansas it is as flat as you can imagine. Temperatures are in the upper 90's and the humidity is rising as well. We are generally on the road at 6:30am in order to beat the heat and the afternoon winds. We always know when a town is approaching because we can see the grain silos from 12 miles away. The bikes and the riders are doing great. Until next time......
